Terry Wilson grew up in Judique, Cape Breton, and now lives in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Terry enjoys hockey and football (Montreal for both sports!), as well as WWF wrestling. He collects pens and walks a lot, so he is in great shape. Terry is a proud self-advocate who believes in speaking up for others and helping them when he can.
Terry has been involved with People First at the local and provincial level, serving on the executive and committees. Along with other self-advocates, Terry was involved in the Freedom Tour project. He not only participated in the production of this video on institutionalization, but has also given presentations and shared his experiences with community groups. Terry has served several terms on the NSACL Board as well as on a number of committees such as the Executive Committee, Nominations, By-Laws, Human Resources, and the Transition Committee.
