Meet Our New Team Member!

We are happy to welcome our Ready, Willing and Able (RWA), Labour Market Facilitator, Andrew Smith.
Andrew has a 20 year HR background helping businesses achieve business results through people and culture. Andrew will be working with employers to share the growing research and business case for hiring people with intellectual disabilities and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). RWA is the most successful national employment initiative for persons with an intellectual disability or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) ever delivered in Canada. Moreover, it is a national project delivered by the Canadian Association for Community Living (CACL) in partnership with the Canadian Autism Spectrum Disorders Alliance (CASDA) and is now in its second phase.
Andrew will build relationships with relevant stakeholders to create meaningful and equitable employment opportunities for job seekers with an intellectual disability and/or ASD. In addition, Andrew will link the hiring demand to a qualified talent pool, as well as building community capacity to support job seekers and employees with an intellectual disability or ASD.
